These acquired skills allow our club members a comfort level to participate in advanced coastal trips including "Rock Play", Kayak Surfing, 10-20 mile paddles, exposure to cold water and sustained higher wind speeds. The Champlain Kayak Club was founded in 1992 and has been active on the lake ever since. VT Lake Champlain Paddlers is a paddling group designed for social paddling with a group. In general, most paddles will be open to all types of kayaks and canoes, but some events may restrict boats to a certain type. We welcome paddlers of all skill levels to join us.
