I like to get away and play on the water! I'd love to get to know other kayakers and learn more about the sport.
I like leisurely scenic paddles... also would like to try some small ocean trips and playin' in the surf... possibly multi-day trips in the future as I build my skills.
Both. Sunday mornings are a great time for me.
All over - variety is nice. I love natural settings best... Ocean Coastlines as well as lakes and rivers on occasion.
A few kayak tours, but mostly since May 2009! (inflatable > rental > Scupper Pro > Perception Shadow!)
Already starting my collection! 2 down...??? to go..:D I have a sit-in Perception Shadow 14.0 and an old Scupper Pro SOT
A very helpful and friendly group of kayakers.

"Take lot's of pictures, Scott!! (that's where a kayaker could really USE that extra arm, huh?? ) Can't wait to hear your report."
"Sounds like fun... timing is everything for me though, so I may or may not be able to tag along. I found this link with loads of info / camping etc. valley wide kayak club / Salton Sea outing"
"Louai... I never know when you're joking or serious, lol!! If these guys have a meetup group (Italy? France?) then it must be ONE wild group! Who would'a thunk... outrigger surfin'!! Love the looks on their faces!..."

"Yeah!! I'll let you know what feedback I get from Jen. Not sure if it makes sense for me to drive 4 hours (2 hrs @way) to drop off/pick up my kayak from AA just so I can fly... I think driving/carpooling might make more sense...."
"I'm going to be OOT for a BIG chunck of December ....and will unfortunately miss the Xmas Boat Parade and such!! Bummer! I would have really enjoyed it! Think of me when y'all do it......."
"I'm really glad we decided to play IN the water after the paddle and practice the wet re-entries. :D We had such a lovely day for it!"
"John.... that ABSOLUTELY made my day... and it was already a wonderful day, but this just blew it out of the water!! it!!"
"OK... you never appreciate what you have until you loose it......(Debra had stopped posting the post paddle data... not knowing that several of us were secretly longing for it!) so......."
~7-8 mile LB Queen Mary and Shoreline Paddle **BYO Boat**
"Lovely day!! started out nippy but got real toasty later on. Water was a bit nastly in places BUT the paddle was fun... and the lively dash to race back to feed the parking meters added some extra fun at the end! ..."
