Let's go out and play on the water!
Develop better paddling skills, practice boating safety, i.e., assisted/unassisted rescue. Day trips, kayak-camping ones. This Meetup's members have been really key to my enjoyment of and appreciation for the sport... what a great support group ;D
Both!
The Black Canyon area of the Colorado River is a fave, also wanna check out other areas of the lower BC. Would love to do Baja, and other Cali areas... I really enjoyed the Anacapa & Catalina crossing experiences, and look forward to repeats!
Paddled outriggers growing up; kayaking on & off - more off - here in the US. Got my tupper-boat CD Squamish in Oct/Nov 2007, but a bad bout of bronchitis pushed off my sillious water play until March 2008.
I've a Current Designs Squamish, and two littler ones, a Perception Prodigy 10 & a Perception Carolina 12 for the kidlets.
Great friendly group of kayaking enthusiasts - all levels from beginner to kayak gods - who make you feel right at home.

Tour de Terminal Island -- land O container ships. 13 miles. NO RENTALS
"THANKS, JC, for putting this on! The Tour de Boats was a welcome change of pace, especially with the weather gods behaving. L.A. Harbor was ginormous, and those ships ginormous-er! ..."
A member and Assistant Organizer leaves us for bluer waters
"I'm there. To picture someone who loved life more than life itself, Greg always came to mind. My heavy heart goes out to his loved ones at this time of loss. Paddle on, G ~ Gennifer"
