Introduction

Hi there, It seemed the only way to meet more of the people who wanted to kayak was to start a group. Thanks to all of you who joined up. I will see you sometime out in the water, ooops I mean on the water. Of course it could be both, LOL It is fun!

Is there anything Special that you want to do in this group?

I want to get this group full of interesting people who want to learn and paddle and have fun on the water

Do you just want to go and kayak or do you want informational get togethers also?

All of it. We do alot of talking on the water and at lunch after all our paddles. We have several instructors in our group and it seems we are always learning as we go. So far so good!!!!

Is there a place that you would like to go or have gone before and liked?

San Onofre, Dana Point, Malibu, Cabrillo Beach and La Jolla. I still want to go to Big Bear Lake in the snow and Mammonth too but in the summer time.

Have you been Kayaking very long or are you new?

I just bought my 2nd kayak and I love it. I plan of practicing paddling skills and getting better with outings, lessons, dvds and just talking to other people. I am still wet behind the ears, LOL, but totally love this sport! I started in May 2007

Do you have a boat or plan on getting one?

Yes, a Wilderness Tsuname 140, May 2007 Northwest "Kevlar" Mid volume, Synergy, "thank you George!!!" November 2007

This group is just over 2 years old!!!We are forming in two distinct areas. Leaisurely and also in a more driven respect. I am happy with the way everything is working out so far. Our group is all about the people in it. My intentions were to start a meetup where we could meet and get on the water for fun, fresh air and friends. My expectations are realized now. We have a family of friends and we are growing. I look forward to continuing to grow and develop my personal skills and to organize better meetups for us all. I have had feedback and so far most everyone is pleased. I am very thankful I have met so many truely fine people within this group. See you on the water
