You'll get invited to our Meetups as soon as they're scheduled!
OK all you guys and gals wanting to have a new kayak meetup for fun and friends, here it is!
Come and get together with us to form an active, fun filled and exciting new group. I am new to this so you long-timers come and lend your knowledge, guidance and experience. All you new people, come on down and learn why this sport is a life changer, meet new friends and learn a new life passion. The people on the water are great people. Come and meet a few of them. By the way, it was brought to my attention that many meetups are mostly about drinking and ... Well we are here to have a good time paddling on the water. Yes sometimes we do a bit of drinking but that is not our purpose and always after the paddle at lunch. We also are kid friendly for the most part. Beginners paddle and such. I would have loved to have started paddling on the water as a youth. Any questions always ask the organizer. We don't bite hard.
Kayaking is an inherently dangerous sport and participation can result in loss or breakage of equipment, injury, or even death. Neither the group, nor myself will be responsible for telling you what is or is not safe for you to do. All participants are responsible for, and will manage their own safety. This responsibility includes assessing your gear, skill level, and physical conditioning relative to conditions and location, as well a making decisions about what you will or will not do. We are however there to help each other in gaining experience and knowledge concerning this sport Becoming a member of our group acknowledges this as true and you hold no one person liable for your health and welfare.
We are currently developing a rating system to help new members decide what events they are qualified to attend as far as skill levels. I will be updating this as it is.

Level 2- beginner level. Have been out on the water less than a dozen times and still not comfortable with their skills in maneuvering their kayak.

All actions are automatic and require little to no thought concerning the next indicated action in all these areas. Level 7- Able to read the water and paddle in higher wind conditions. Has experienced navigation "blind"-Fog senarios. Has navigated ocean crossings successfully.
